Today there is only one place in Norway, where it is possible to train Bruce Lee`s martial art Jeet Kune Do. This is in the Molde city at the west coast, 500 km from the capital Oslo. Molde Martial Arts Center evolved at the early 90s, where it today is possible to train all the aspects of Martial Arts.
Main Instructor here is Leif T. Robekk, with his main martial arts-skills from both Karate and Kickboxing for a long period of time. Before starting to train directly under Larry Hartsell for several years.Within these recent years, Leif has attained to become an Full JKD instructor, under Sifu Larry Hartsell and his Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Grappling Assosciation. For those who did not know, Sifu Larry Hartsell was a student directly under Bruce Lee and Dan Inosanto.
Today Larry Hartsell runs one of the larger organisations in the world JUN FAN JEET KUNE DO GRAPPLING ASSOSCIATION, and his representant in Norway, and Vice president generally, is Leif T. Robekk. It has only been in the later years, that practically anybody intrested in JKD, has had the oppurtunity to train in a club under Leif T. Robekk. Preor to this, he has onely been giving privat lessons, instructed small groups of people, or intrgrated some JKD training along with Kickboxing teaching.
Røbekk has been in the US for several occations, participating in several Jeet Kune Do seminars, and has assisted Sifu Larry Hartsell both as demo for Larry, and as co-instructor, in both the US and Europe.He was also one of the few chosen to be invited to San Fransisco January 27.th, to join the JUN FAN NUCLEUS happening. Such an invitation is in itself a great honor.This event was the first of its kind since 1973, reuniting 12 of Bruce`s former students, for a training and seminar session.Jeet Kune Do Fighting Arts
Røbekk has in addition to training under Larry Hartsell since -92, also recived partly instruction from other JKD instructors, and Filipino Kali/Lameco Escrima, such as :
Guro Hannu Hiltunen (Finland), Guro Cass Magda (Los Angeles), Guro Edgar Sulite (Los Angeles), Sifu Rick Tucci (New Yearsey), Guro Burton Richardson( Hawai), Sifu Dan Johannson (Malmø), Sifu Tim Tackett(Redeland). Guro Johan Skålber.
